On the evening of January 6, 2026, the 3.5+0.5+1 Joint Training Program jointly established by the School of Electronic Science and Engineering of Nanjing University (NJU) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, was officially launched. The first cohort of seven outstanding undergraduate students, accompanied by Dr. Li Xicai, departed for NTU to pursue further studies.

All seven selected students are among the School’s top talents. Through a combination of coursework and research practice at NTU, they will comprehensively enhance their engineering competence, innovation capability, and international competitiveness.

This program represents a key initiative by the School of Electronic Science and Engineering at Nanjing University to advance internationalized education and deepen the cultivation of high-level engineering talent. Following a year of careful preparation, the School conducted systematic planning and thorough evaluation of the training scheme, curriculum framework, research training, and student selection mechanisms, laying a solid foundation for the smooth implementation of the joint program.
